The A to Z New Zealand Visitor Guide has been especially prepared to cater for the intending visitor to the southern half of New Zealand's South Island, including Dunedin, Invercargill and the surrounding Coastal Otago and Southland regions, Queenstown, Fiordland and the Southern Lakes areas.

Irfanview: For MS Windows users: To view your images as slideshow, thumbnails or convert or rename whole batches of them Irfanview is brilliant. This is a totally free program that will allow you to view any graphic file and convert between them. It has to be seen to be believed.

Puppy Linux: If you are interested in Linux but new to it here is something to try. Puppy Linux is a an amazing operating system. It can do all Windows can do and more. It's free, small and very fast. It can be operated from a CD/DVD, flash card or a USB stick so you don't even have to install it to your hard drive. You can have your operating system and all of your files sitting on your key ring. You can get the latest Puppy here or here.

Peter's Pottery Peter lives with his wife, Laura who is a painter, in the old Post Office building at Waikouaiti. He writes: I was painting for most of my working life, but started potting about 6 years ago. Until recently I was mostly firing stoneware pots in a wood fired kiln, but I have been experimenting with electrically fired crystalline glazes since December 2009, and am greatly enjoying the challenge and adventure of it all.
